This Saturday the Ministry of Health published the Weekly Report of Deaths from COVID-19 No. 28, within the framework of Epidemiological Report No. 80, through which it was reported that, since the start of the pandemic, there are 21,863 deaths from COVID-19, counting confirmed and suspected cases.

It was also reported that until December 24 they have registered 678,702 coronavirus cases, of which 595,831 have laboratory confirmation and 82,871 they are considered probable.
On the other hand, it was announced that, according to laboratory-confirmed cases, the highest cumulative incidence rates per 100,000 inhabitants are found in the Magallanes region (10059.3), followed by Tarapacá region (4657.3) and Metropolitan region (4386.7).
Meanwhile, it was highlighted that the age group with the most infections is that comprised between the 30 and 44 years, forming a 29.35% of confirmed and probable cases. It is followed by the people between 45 and 64 years, these being a 28.5% of those infected.
Finally, regarding the communes with the most active cases, it was found that the one that leads is the commune of Montt port, with Iquique in second place and The Angels In the third.
