19 Cesfam officials in Villa Alemana test positive for IgM and are sent to quarantine | National

The Municipality of Villa Alemana confirmed to Radio Bío Bío that a total of 19 health officials belonging to Cesfam and the Las Americas post, is kept separate from all its functions after the Covid-19 IgM test was positive.

Evelyn Salas, chief of Cabinet of the municipality, indicated that the examination was applied to 200 officials of which 161 gave negative to the rapid test. Of these, 19 tested positive for IgM and 20 for IgG.

“The IgG indicates that the person had the covid antibody at some point, but that today it is not contagious nor is it contagious. And the IgM is the one that opens us to an alert. These officials were separated from yesterday (Monday), with a labor license, “added the head of the Cabinet, who emphasized that the PCR test will now be applied to them.

Asked if these people were quarantined or not, considering that they have rotating shifts, Salas said that in the case “it does not matter, because we have to remember that there is also protection for the patient”, indicating that they have registered cases of discrimination against health officials.

Regarding the 19 workers, he said he did not know who they are, but that the Health Directorate is taking all the measures in the case, activating all the parallel protocols such as the sanitation of the dependencies and the traceability of the eventual infected.

He also called for awareness of the excessive number of people circulating on the streets of Villa Alemana.
