Mayor Sharp’s Response

All this, according to the complaint released by the Buenos Aires councilors, adds to a sexual harassment scandal that involves some advisers of the municipality and an investigation by the Comptroller’s Office that identified commercial activities outside the law for 921 million pesos.

Given this, Mayor Jorge Sharp pointed out in conversation with Radio Cooperativa that the accusation comes from “the councilors of the rejection, who have had an oppositional attitude and no longer keep the minimum forms of respect. We have been insulted by scribbles in the municipal councils, so there is little that can be expected ”, according to the municipal authority.

In October, the Comptroller’s Office announced that it would initiate a trial of accounts in the Municipal Corporation, whose owner is Sharp himself.

According to a report by radio Bío Bío, this in order to recover 931 million pesos for the alleged misuse of the Preferential School Subsidy (SEP) and which was destined to the purchase of different elements for two high schools in the commune.
