At least four houses affected and two completely destroyed left a fire registered this Friday in the commune of Colina, Metropolitan region.

In total they were 10 families those that were damaged by the accident.

This occurred on Manuel Rodríguez Street and reached the sixth fire alarm, due to the high risk of spread due to the light material of the houses, which added to the wind in the place caused a grassland fire that consumed five hectares.

The institution’s commander, Sebastián Benítez, from the Colina and Lampa Fire Department, confirmed that the incident was controlled and that 10 families were affected.

In total they worked 15 companies and 112 firefighters, while the neighbors called to install taps in the Manuel Rodríguez town, since it would not be the first fire to spread as a result of the lack of said elements.
