Chicago Bears Announces Season Tickets, Single Game, Training Camp

If fans can attend Bears games at Soldier Field this season, which has yet to be determined due to the coronavirus, seating capacity will need to be reduced to allow for social distancing.

As a result, there will be no season ticket packages available for the 2020 season. Instead, only individual game tickets would be made available exclusively to season ticket holders, and PSL holders would receive first priority.

All season ticket holders can choose to receive a refund for their 2020 tickets or a credit for the 2021 season. They will automatically be given the opportunity to purchase 2021 season tickets at the same location.

Bears President and CEO Ted Phillips made that announcement in a letter sent to season ticket holders on Friday.

“It was a difficult decision, but everyone’s health and safety must remain our top priority,” Phillips said in a statement sent to the media. “If we are able to receive fans at home games, season ticket holders, starting with PSL holders, will have their first opportunity to purchase single game tickets. We are incredibly grateful for their loyalty, patience and support throughout this unique and challenging moment. “

In the letter sent to season ticket holders, Phillips also revealed that the players have begun reporting to Halas Hall to begin preparations for training camp; fans will not be able to attend training camp practices; and Family Fest and Varsity Bears events have been canceled.

Here is the letter in its entirety:

We hope this letter finds you well as the world continues to grapple with the ongoing pandemic.

Players have begun reporting to Halas Hall to begin preparations for our first training camp in Lake Forest since 1983. Due to new NFL protocols and health and safety guidelines, training camp will take place without fans this year. As all NFL training camps in 2020 will do. be closed to the public If preseason games are played, we will not host those games. Additionally, Family Fest and Varsity Bears have been canceled for 2020.

While the energy and excitement of the fans we have enjoyed during camp for many years will be missed, everyone’s health and safety remain our top priority. We hope that fans will return to camp in 2021. In 2020, we are dedicated to bringing you exclusive content through all of our social media and channels (ChicagoBears.com, the official Chicago Bears app, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube , TikTok) directly from Halas Hall as we prepare for the season.

We understand there are still a lot of questions about the regular season fan experience at Soldier Field and how that will affect your season ticket package. We continue to work closely with city and state officials and public health experts regarding potential opportunities to allow fans to attend the regular season games this fall, but the presence and exact number of fans to be allowed at Soldier Field has yet to be determined. In case fans can attend regular season games, it will be necessary to reduce the seating capacity to build a plan that allows social distancing. We are disappointed to share that this will result in season ticket packages not being available for the 2020 season.

All season ticket holders will receive a refund or 2020 payments can be credited to the 2021 season. There is nothing you need to do to reserve your same seating locations for next year. Season ticket renewal information will automatically be sent to you next February for the 2021 season. If you have already spoken to a box office representative regarding a refund request, you do not need to do anything else. Refunds will be processed in the coming weeks using the same method the original payment was made. Accounts that remain with a credit balance will have the funds applied towards the renewal of their 2021 season ticket. All ticket transfers, donations and secondary sales that have been made for this season have been canceled.

If fans are allowed to attend regular season games at Soldier Field this year, the opportunity to purchase individual game tickets during the 2020 regular season will be available exclusively to STH, and PSL holders will have first priority. There will be no multi-game packages for 2020. All ticket sales will be in one game. As we get closer to our first home game, more details on single game ticket opportunities and the game day experience will be communicated, including parking, stadium access, stadium entrance, food and beverages, retail and security procedures.

We recommend that you call the box office at 847-615-BEAR (2327) if you have any questions about your account. Thank you for the patience you have shown and the communication you have shared over the past few months.

Best wishes and Bear Down!
