Check out the original cast of ‘Hamilton’ who virtually meets for ‘Helpless’


Members of the original cast of Hamilton, along with The Roots, organized a virtual meeting to present the musical “Helpless” as part of Global Citizen’s “Global Goal: Unite for Our Future” live broadcast event on Saturday.

The performance featured actress Phillipa Soo reprising her Tony Hamilton-nominated role, with the singer taking the lead on the track for the first time since leaving the musical in 2016. Lin-Manuel Miranda, the show’s original Alexander Hamilton, also expanded dropping her verse midway through the song.

In April, members of the Hamilton The cast, including Miranda, Soo, Daveed Diggs, Okieriete Onaodowan, Christopher Jackson, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff and Javier Muñoz, joined via Zoom to sing the musical “Alexander Hamilton” in John Krasinski Some good news.
