Chase Bank Blames Customers Who See Incorrect Account Balances For ‘Technical Problem’


Chase Bank acknowledged reports of some customers who saw incorrect balances in their checking accounts, and said the problem has already been resolved.

The largest US bank for consolidated assets blamed a “technical problem” for what it called “delayed updates.”

“We know that some customers report seeing incorrect balances in their checking account overnight,” Chase tweeted Sunday. “This was caused by a technical issue that delayed updates to what is shown on Chase Mobile & Chase Online.”

“We resolved this issue starting at 9 am ET and the accounts now show current balances,” said Chase.

Customers complained early Sunday about the wrong account balances.

There were also complaints of outages in the Chase Bank app from customers trying to view their account balances and recent transaction history.
