Charge the MagSafe charger at just 15W speed with the Mag Pal’s 20W power adapter

Along with the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models, Apple Play introduced a new MagSafe charger that attaches to the rear magnetic ring of devices, providing charging power up to 15W, which is twice the maximum speed of a 7.5W Q-based wireless charging.

The Apple Pul Mag 39 does not provide a power adapter with a MagSafe charger, users need to provide their own USB-C compatible option. Apple is selling a new 20W power adapter with the Pull MagSafe charger, and as it turned out, it seems that at the moment the new MagSafe charger is the only charging option capable of providing full 15W power.

Zolot Tech’s YouTuber Aaron Jollo tested several first- and third-party power adapter options with the iPhone 12 Pro and the MagSafe charger using a meter to measure actual power output. Connected to the 20 W power adapter Apple offers, the MagSafe charger successfully delivers 15 W, but none of the other chargers it tested could provide the same speed.

Apple’s older 18W power ap dopter, replaced by the 20W version, was able to charge the PiPhone 12 Pro up to 13W using a MagSafe charger, but a 96W power adapter and a third-party power adapter providing more than 20W were not enabled when used with the MagSafe charger. Exceeds 10W. Below are the results of the Zolo tests:

  • Apple Pal’s 20 W power adapter – 15 W.
  • Apple Paul’s 18W power adapter – 13W
  • Apple Pal’s 96W Macbook Pro Power Adapter – 10W
  • Anchor 30 W Powerport Atom PD 1 = 7.5 W to 10 W.
  • Key Key 65 W Power Adapter – 8 W to 9 W.
  • Pixel 4/5 Charger – 7.5W to 9W
  • Note 20 Ultra Charger – 6W to 7W

For maximum charging speeds with the MagSafe charger and iPhone 12 + or 12 Pro, Apple’s 20W power adapter is essential, and even the old power adapter options won’t work. Third-party companies will need to come out with new chargers that will be able to provide a full 15W with the third-party charger MagSafe charger, before the power pal will use the special power profile it is using to provide the maximum amount of power.

Zolo’s test also revealed that Apple Pal is using aggressive temperature control, so when the iPhone is heated, the charging power stays below 10W. To better dissipate heat, the best speed comes from using a 20 W power adapter without having to case on an iPhone.

Older iPhones like the 11 Pro Max and 8 Plus charge around 5W with a MagSafe charger and Apple Paul’s 20W power adapter, which corresponds to the test results we saw last week. Non-iPhone 12: It is not advisable to buy a MagSafe charger to use.

The same goes for Android phones. The MagSafe charger technically supports QI-based charging and can work with Android devices, but when paired with Android smartphones, the MagSafe charger was output at 1.5W, which makes it slow or almost useless. .
