A host of celebrities has congratulated Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell on the happy news that they are expecting their first child, amid the devastating coronavirus pandemic.

In an Instagram post, Bindi wrote: ‘Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021. Chandler and I are proud to announce what we expect!’

The conservator ran upstairs and greeted waiting crowds, ready to put on a death-defying show.
The couple were married less than five months ago on March 25, in a probation ceremony at the Zoo of Australia.

The Irwin matriarch, 56, posted a photo of the expectant couple holding a small version of the Australian Zoo uniform, and also told her followers that the news was bitter after the death of her husband Steve almost 14 years ago.
She began, ‘This is the best day ever! I’m over the month to announce that @BindiIrwin and @ chandlerpowell9 will be having a baby! ‘

Steve, died tragically 14 years ago when Bindi was eight years old. The Crocodile Hunter was stabbed in the chest in 2006 by a stingray barb.
