The country’s music academy s wards are to recognize the contribution to the genre.
Just to do that, entertainer of the year Carrie Underwood took to the stage to present a medal of one of the most famous women’s songs in country music.

“Patty and Loretta, Martina and Barbara, Reba and Dolly Lee. These hard voices are very meaningful to me and to all the other female artists who stand shoulder to shoulder,” Underwood said. “They are some of my heroes, and I am very honored to stand with them as a fellow member of the Grand Ole Opry. It is a pleasure to pay tribute to these legendary women as we celebrate Opry’s 95th anniversary.”
“American Idol” Alumni performed at the Grand Le Le Opry House, one of the three venues from which this year’s virtual event is airing. Other exhibitions are being held at the Bluebird Cafe and the Rayman Itor Detorium.
To pay her respects, Underwood gave a red calf-length dress with a floral design.

The performance was hailed online by fans.
