Cardi B in hot water for racist insult

Cardi B is in hot water for using an Asian insult while describing the shape of her sister Hennessy Carolina’s eyes.

The media whirlwind began when rapper “Bodak Yellow” shared a composite photo of what his 2-year-old daughter Kulture would look like as an adult.

A fan noted that the image looked like a combination of rapper Offset’s husband and his sister Hennessy, 24.

Cardi replied in an exchange now deleted, writing: “I think Hennessy got well-balanced eyes and so [does] KK. It is the only thought (sic) that I could think (sic). “

When the comment came under fire on social media, the 27-year-old Grammy winner claimed ignorance.

“I didn’t know the eyes were an insult like wtfff I DON’T KNOW F – KIN EVERYTHING!” she wrote in a deleted tweet since then. “We didn’t even use it as an insult (sic) and I didn’t use it as an insult (sic).”

It is not the first time that the open artist offers a mea culpa on Instagram. In March 2019, he apologized for a resurfaced clip from Instagram Live in which he revealed that he used to “drug” and “steal” from men when he was a stripper.

“I never pretend to be perfect or come from a perfect world with a perfect past. I always speak my truth. I always have my st,” Cardi said at the time. “I am apart [sic] of a hip hop culture where you can talk about where you come from, talk about the wrong things you had to do to get where you are. There are rappers who glorify murder, violence, drugs and theft (sic). Crimes they feel they had to do to survive. I never glorified the things I mentioned on that live (Instagram). I didn’t even put those things in my music because I’m not proud of it and I feel a responsibility not to glorify it. “

She explained that “she had very limited options” growing up, which resulted in “bad choices,” but she promised to do better “for me, my family, and my future.”
