As the NFL and NFLPA continue to try to work out safety rules in the workplace before the start of training camps, players are surprised wondering what will come next.
And depending on the last thing they hear, their confidence about what’s next may vary.
Saints defensive end Cam Jordan told Luke Johnson about New Orleans Times-Picayune that their comfort level over the season is not always high.
“I wobble between a four and a seven,” Jordan said.
Jordan said he avoided traveling this offseason to try to keep himself and his family safer from the COVID-19 outbreak, but he knows that as (or if) players begin to reunite again soon, he’s entering a world. new.
“At the end of the day, I hit people for a living, so the transmission of body fluids is bound to happen,” Jordan said.
He also said he was “not very excited about having 90 people in the building,” and that the normal thrill this time of year is not the same.
“There is always a level of excitement to be back in the building with people you know you have worked with, people you are eager to see,” Jordan said. “At the same time, there is that unknown factor.
“What will the procedures be like? What will it take to get you back on the road this season? I wish I could say that once we get back to the building everything will be back to normal, but we don’t know the unknown. “
The time for those things to be revealed is nigh, and Jordan’s concerns probably have many players who consider the safety of their workplace.
