Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone have received a new update that fine-tunes various weapons within the games. Senior Communications Manager Ashton Williams detailed on Twitter how weapons like the FAL and M91 will receive increased damage, while a second patch – yet to come – will also fix graphical corruption issues with weapons. The full patch notes of Infinity Ward can be found below for the update now out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but be aware that server issues are affecting the games at the moment. The file size of the game has grown over the last several months with huge updates, so make sure you have space on your system’s drive. This is especially important on PC, and takes up more than 200GB.
The Holger light machine gun will also have increased range and ADS speed, while the Brown MK9’s range will be reduced. General repairs are also implemented for an error that players occasionally encountered when opening the weapon and exploiting it during the Trial Range Trial.
Following the release of the update, Infinity Ward confirmed that players are having issues connecting to servers. The studio says it is working to resolve the issue, but has not provided an estimate for how quickly that could happen.
“We are investigating an issue where some players could not connect to the servers. We will post another update when we have more information. Thank you for your patience,” Infinity Ward tweeted.

Original Story: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the Battle Royale game Warzone are set to receive some new updates in the future. Senior communications manager Ashton Williams announced on Twitter that the first update will fix bugs, allowing some changes for gun voting and deleting an exploit.
The second will address a “graphic corruption problem” related to weapons. It will also fix an issue that causes the “Replay” option.
We have two patches in the works that will fix a few bugs: One has gunplay, a fix for an operator, a fix for an error that occurs when opening the armory, and a few other issues.

The second fixes the graphical corruption issue with weapons, the ‘Play Again’ option does not work, and more. I do not have an ETA yet, but we will share more details when we are all ready.

However, there is no ETA on when these patches will arrive, however. We will report back with the full patch notes as they are published.
In addition to the ongoing updates for Modern Warfare and Warzone, Activision is preparing to announce this year’s new game, which is thought to be Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Recent teasers have suggested that Activision will continue to draw the curtain on this new game this Friday, August 14th. However, it is expected that the official reveal of the new game will come later.
2020’s new Call of Duty game was developed by Black Ops maker Treyarch and longtime Call of Duty-backed studio Raven Software.
