A total of eight people were arrested in yesterday’s operation by the Prosecutor’s Office and the Interior Ministry in Sofia. In addition to singer LiLana, those arrested include her brother Alexander Deyanov, beatboxer SkilleR.
According to those close to the investigation, it is a misuse of EU funds: the detainees registered a series of related companies through which they illegally received subsidies from various EU funds, BNT reported.
Yesterday afternoon at the office of the IT company, which is a partner of Lilyana Deyanova – LiLana, a search began. This was confirmed to bTV by the singer’s lawyer Nikolay Hadjigenov. He told television that the investigation was in a different case from the one being carried out against Vasil Bozhkov and that he did not know the connection between his client and the businessman.
A comment from the prosecution is expected, of which they have not yet announced the action.
