The PPF group of the Czech billionaire Petr Kellner officially acquired bTV Media Group after the final transaction in the agreement with the current owner SME (Central European Media Enterprises).
PPF appoints new CEO of CME Bulgaria – Lubos Yetmar, reported by PPF. He has 20 years of radio and television experience and will report directly to PPF’s minority owner, Mr. Bartonicek. Yetmar will be responsible for the operations, business strategies and growth of the company in Bulgaria. He has extensive experience in senior sales and management. He has worked for Warner Home Video and HBO (Czech Republic and Slovakia), as well as for the Czech group GES.
Former CEO of bTV Media Group Florian Skala is currently in his post, the press release appears.

When announcing the sale of SME, no specific price was indicated for the Bulgarian media package. The entire deal is worth $ 2.1 billion.
Following the acquisition of SME, PPF will own media in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Romania.
