Bucks, Kings closed practice facilities after receiving coronavirus test results

The Milwaukee Bucks and Sacramento Kings closed their practice facilities on Sunday, sources told ESPN, after receiving the results of a recent round of testing for the coronavirus.

It wasn’t immediately clear if there was more than one positive test at the Bucks, but Milwaukee plans to keep its facilities closed for exercise until the team’s roving party leaves Thursday to restart the league in Orlando, Florida, sources said.

A member of the Sacramento tour group tested positive for COVID-19, a source told ESPN’s The Undefeated, and the Kings also plan to keep their practice facilities closed during their departure for Orlando on Wednesday.

The Bucks and Kings are among several teams, including the Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, LA Clippers and Brooklyn Nets, which closed exercise facilities last week.

According to the league’s health and safety guidelines, any player who contracts the coronavirus must quarantine and test negative twice before receiving medical authorization to make the trip to Orlando.

The Bucks have the NBA’s best record at 53-12 before the July 30 restart at Walt Disney World. The Kings, 28-36, hope to make the playoffs for the first time since 2006.

Athletic first reported that the Kings were closing their practice facilities.
