BTS: Become an album review pitchfork

You should at least root for BTS. The global dominance of Supergroup has been a rare continuation in a year of turmoil, a pulse of pure joy through all this nonsense. There they continue Late self with James Cordon, Handing out gifts to each other while crane in their hand mix. There they are on a ticket ok, put a bouquet in a hand-drawn vase and give it to their fans. The BTSA has broken so many records at such a ferocious pace that any attempt to tell them almost immediately becomes obsolete. His new album, Be, At the top of the Billboard charts, “Dynamite,” dedicates a full three-minute skit to celebrate the rise of their first all-English single. (“Don’t you think this is like happiness?) Asks R.M.) Reached the top of the charts, the first song being sung mainly in Korean. Do so

That level of fame has not come without its cost. As a band and brand that rewards honesty, BTSA has not hesitated to address Megastardum’s toll and grow in general. They trained their ancient pop machine on philosophical ideas – the warlike concept of the soul, Hermann Hessy Buildingsroman – with varying degrees of success. Ongoing Be, Bangton Boys fix instead of quarantine life. In a year when the weakness is physically woven, when the rot actions of the day take on a new intensity, the BTS softens and shines.

“Stolen all year,” Jimin skillfully smoking in Korean “Go on my fly”, before the group lay in bed with bloated stomachs, bed bugs and a constant blare of TV. Frustration and grief enliven these songs, but it is their simplicity and uniqueness that makes them compelling. On “Blue and Gray,” Suga wonders if “that dull shade that swallows me” classifies it as anxiety or frustration. The group cries over the delicate, bleeding strings, their voices pleading, I want to be happy.

At the center of Vikram’s themes is “Life Moves Forward,” a prayer of the past to move 2020 forward. Artists Struggle Over How To Make A Record About Self-Isolation – Charlie XCX’s Mistakes And Choices How I feel right now, While Drake danced alone from his huge, fierce house. BTS pulls Minutia from the ambiguity of the days trapped inside: “On my pillow, on my table,” they sang, “Life goes on.” In the past, BTS has used their songs as vehicles for emotion-messages (“I love, I love, I love myself! I know, I know, I know myself!)” Wings’ “Cypher 4”); Here, they build hope in real time. The gradual glitter of each layered tone, every green harmony that flows over the delicate backbeat, simultaneously stitches intimacy. I repeated the song as I churned through my daily chores – I cut my inbox, pushing the sweeper to my floor. By the seventh or eighth play, I realized I was crying.

That intricate balance of confession and reassurance is later released in the album. The group’s unofficial leader, R.M.A., expressed concern that “Life Goes On” sounds like an “idol”, and that other parts of the record are trying to compensate with an aggressive glow. “UGH!” Compared to the hard-hitting juggernauts of past songs like, light-hip-beat beat, airy and contagious but on a “dis-easy” beat. The neon-wet “stay” blends into the middleing EDM, which has a blair like twitch drum kick and siren; The beating sounds like they were torn from Steve OK’s hard drive in 2010.

The “Stay” ends, which turns into a song of gloss and “Dynamite”, a song that, from it, deftly qualifies: funk and handclaps and the famous delicious one-liners. (“A cup of milk, let’s rock and roll!”) Of course, “Dynamite” also serves as a monument to BTS’s global reach, but for the group, it’s one more gift for fans. RMA said, “We identify it as our own recharge project N.M.E. About the single, “And we hope it will be able to recharge your own battery, even if only for a moment.” It’s part of BTS’s entertainment – you get the feeling that they, too, are eagerly rooting for you.
