Brown Center, NFLP President Jesse Trater has called for an end to the NFL’s se fee practices.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Browns Center and NFLP president wrote to Jesse Trater on Thursday that he believes the 2020 season has shown that the league’s se fee program is not as necessary as previously considered.

Traitor, writing on the NFLPA’s website, cited the new and first-year coaches as successes, saying raps between the OTA and Minicamp may not be as important as some of the ones they believe the successful races and the newly assembled teams were. The league conducted its se fission program virtually in the spring. NFC contenders New Orleans Saints canceled their se fasen program this season.

“After experiencing that change, we have no reason to go back to the previous se fee program,” Trater wrote. “We are the only major sports league with a major fashion program. The physically demanding game is the only league that brings their players back for extra practice outside of the season. “

He drew attention to data showing high quality sport despite limited se fission and training camp time and no preseason games. He also recalled the two-day practice of removing the CBA from the controversial move at the time in 2011, but what he writes has created a high-quality game and Parivartan says some former players said they could extend their careers.

Traitor also writes a lot of scary plays on the field.

“Sloppy play is usually characterized by low-scoring games, a large number of penalties and more missed tackles,” he wrote. But we’ve seen the exact opposite this year, with fewer points per game, fewer penalties and fewer missed calls than last year.

“We don’t have to bring in April-June to practice against each other. It’s just unnecessary. “

Currently, the se fission program begins with the launch in April whether the team has a new head coach or a returning coach. The first stage involves conditioning and no on-field work. Organized team activities consist of 10 practices after the draft and are voluntary. There is also a mandatory minicamp, which most teams have in June at the end of the program.

The teams also host events for people of color, including a mandatory rookie minicamp, during one of the two weekends after the draft. Traitor did not specifically address the Rookie program in his post.

The Browns coach, as you might expect, highly respected the job he did as Traitor and president of the NFLPA, but disagreed with the idea of moving away from the se fasen program.

“As a coach, obviously, we’d love to coach him in the spring,” said offensive coordinator Alex van Pelte. “Reflecting as quarterback and quarterback coach, it’s a precious time that we’ve lost everything that comes with the footwear, details, defenses and adjustments and the mental aspect of talking.”

Van Pelt remembers attending the Quarterback School as a player who lost part of the offseason program, the 2011 collective bargaining agreement.

“Everyone’s health and safety is the most important thing, but if we can get together, we as coaches would love to have them there because there’s a lot of stuff that doesn’t go through the OTA and look different,” said Van Pelte. Look at the issues that appear. You’ve put away all the memory banks you use during the season. “

Mike Prefer, coordinator of the special teams, said he expects there to be some changes to the program after this year’s experience, but he says he will never abolish it.

“I think it’s extremely important for the development of our young players,” Prefer said, “especially with our draft picks, our college league free agents and really players who want to integrate into our locker room from other teams and get players around everyone. Come

Prefer said he understands where Tratter is coming from in his post, but still thinks the program is valuable.

He said, “One of the things that keeps us all going in the spring is the camaraderie, creating chemistry in the locker room and understanding in the eyes of your players and seeing what you expect from them.”

Trater believes that players can be trusted to do what they have to do in se fission.

“Our players are professionals,” he wrote. “They understand what they need to do to be prepared. Many of us train throughout the year to stay at their physical peak. They also study their playbook to prepare mentally. ”

The SeFonAsson program is likely to be a major topic of future negotiations, especially as the league continues to increase the number of games played, adding an additional playoff team to each conference this season – adding two additional wild card games – and 17th as next season. Thinking of doing more by expanding into a regular season game.
