Drew Bryce was ousted earlier this year when he came across NFL players kneeling during the national anthem amid racial tensions in the U.S.
Bryce told Yahoo Finance in June that he would “never agree” with anyone who would kneel during the national anthem. NFL players have been in the U.S. since the death of George Floyd on May 25. Favre said in an interview on “America This Week” last week that he did not believe Breeze was wrong for his remarks, but also supported the decision of the players to kneel during the national anthem.
“I think Drew clearly stated what he stood for,” Hall F fame quarterback said via WLBT-TV. “There’s no question about this and it wasn’t wrong.”

Favre added that many things in the world need to be fixed and that “early quarterbacks for the New Orleans Saints can’t fix it.”
Favre also commented on the knee-jerk players during the national anthem in August.
“I’ve lived in the NFL locker room for 20 years, regardless of race, background, the money you grew up with, it didn’t matter who we were all brothers,” Favre told USA Today. “Guys got along great. Will it be the same (with a knee view)? I don’t know. If one person chooses to stand for his purpose and the other person chooses to fill the knee for his purpose, is one right and the other Wrong? I don’t think so. We can be fixed on high.
