Walt Disney World recently announced a new, modified holiday ing fur for the 2020 season.
Given recent management experiences in the new environment, Disney has re-imagined the holidays with current health and safety measures while still retaining the fun and magic of the season. With that being said, the holiday experiences that have caught the attention of a large number of people will be on a sad break this year, i.e. Mickey’s Magic Kingdom’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Candlelight Procession at Epicoty.
To November 6. 30 Guests will be able to enjoy festive decor, themed merchandise, seasonal food and beverage offers and entertainment throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Holiday magic will be in full swing at the four theme parks and Disney Springs, and Santa Claus will give everyone time for a special pop-up look at each location, fluttering and evoking holiday wishes.
Guests will be delighted to see the festive flotillas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the holiday season at Epicoty, and the Merry Motorcads at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. At Magic Kingdom Park the character Cavalcades will take a special holiday turn, with Christmas friends the best on their holiday festive floats. These cavalcades will feature gingerbread men, elves and reindeer. Also, the favorite toy soldiers will join Main Street Philharmonic as they march through Magic Kingdom Park, giving everyone a musical holiday excitement to listen to.
Starting November 6 at Disney’s Hollywood studios, Min Minn will be hosting Millie Mouse Ulitide for all her friends in Lloyd and Wine. Santa. Santa Goofy will be there with them, Minnie and the best of their holiday.
By shifting gears to Disney Springs, guests will be able to find Christmas around every corner as they come across this extensively equipped Disney Christmas Tree collection spread across this retail, dining and entertainment venue. In the evening, guests visiting the Town Center, West Side and The Landing areas will be showered with magical snow, which will add an extra touch of wonder to their holiday shopping. And to top it all off, Jock Lindsay will once again turn his hangar bar into Jock Lindsay’s Holiday Bar, a delicious limited-time menu filled with fun holiday decor and festive favorites.
Disney resort hotels will also be equipped for the holidays, with iconic trees and other festive growth in their lobbies. One thing to keep in mind is that this year our one-of-a-kind gingerbread display will not return to resort hotels. While we know they are people’s choice in holiday decor, we couldn’t include those exhibits because of the physical distance guide.
Shortly after the season, on November 27, Disney will celebrate the highlights of the “Holidays’ Epcot International Festival. The American showcase will return to the holiday kitchen at a World Showcase outing with a favorite like a holiday table, with slow-roasted turkey with stuffing and dishes like cheese fondue in a bread bowl in the Bavarian holiday kitchen. It remains to be seen how many will return and if the event will turn into a taste of the ongoing Iscot International Food and Wine Festival.
Group returning guests, Joyful! Will be invited to go inside the World Shopplace, which offers tours through R&B, gospel, contemporary and traditional Christmas and holiday music. Also, Is Li F Liberty will bring their incredible 8-part synchronization to the American Gardens Theater stage for a special concert of favorite carols and songs of the season.
