Lula takes a second dose of vaccine and suggests that Bolsonaro listen to science, governors and mayors

Former President of the Republic Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine this Saturday morning in São Bernardo do Campo (SP), and suggested that the federal government “listen to the science” and “speak with governors and mayors “to learn how to deal with the new coronavirus pandemic.

The PT driver went through one of the drive-thru stations in the city of the ABC region, where he lives, to be immunized with a dose of CoronaVac, produced by the Butantan Institute, linked to the São Paulo government.

Lula received his first dose on March 13, when São Bernardo do Campo, the city where he lives, began to vaccinate people between 75 and 76 years old, the former president is 75. Both applications were broadcast on video, live, through PT’s. social media.

– If I could give advice to someone, I would like to tell the members of the government. You just have to do one thing right now: first, listen to science, listen to those who know how to deal with it, and follow the rules, talk to governors and mayors.

The former president mentioned the importance of expanding access to the vaccine, emergency aid (“so that people can stay at home”) and promoting employment generation policies.

– This fight belongs to everyone. It is not from the government, not and only from the opposition, it is not only from the medical profession. It belongs to everyone – he said.

CIRO GOMES VACCINATED

Also on Saturday, the former governor of Ceará and former presidential candidate Ciro Gomes used social media to announce his vaccination.

The 63-year-old PDT politician received the first dose of the immunizer at a health center in the Pirambu neighborhood, in Fortaleza (CE).

– I want to thank from the bottom of my heart the scientists who developed this vaccine, which will save lives. I want to thank the health professionals, who are here on the front line, with a very strong emotion in my heart, risking to protect our people with all the delicacy, with all the affection, with all the professionalism – said the politician.
