In celebration of the album announcement, the K-pop quartet has revealed that a second single from the upcoming release will be out in August and feature a surprise guest.
The song will continue with the album’s lead single, ‘How You Like That’, released in June, which was her first new music since her collaboration with Lady Gaga on ‘Sour Candy.’
The lead single ‘How You Like That’ has broken multiple records since its release last month. The song’s official video recorded 86.3 million views on its release, breaking the record for the most viewed YouTube clip in a 24-hour period, the most viewed music video on the platform in 24 hours, and the most viewed music video by a K-pop group in 24 hours.
As a result, BLACKPINK broke Guinness world records, with the organization breaking the news on Twitter and congratulating the South Korean team.
BLACKPINK’s last full release was the 2019 five-track EP ‘Kill This Love’, which NME called “a continuation of their tradition of giving offerings little by little.”
