Bindi Irwin and her husband Chandler Powell took some time to reflect on 2020.
The young defenders revealed Wednesday that they faced professional difficulties while experiencing personal goals.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Irwin recalled the challenge his team faced when it devastated parts of Australia last January.

Irwin told his 469,000 followers, “For us this year has been full of both joy and heartbreaking loss. Our wildlife hospital across the country has been the busiest ever because of the Australian bushfires.” “We worked hard to send support to the front lines of destruction. We have now treated 100,000 patients since our Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital opened.”

She acknowledged that the coronavirus epidemic added another level of concern to her family’s zoo, which should have been able to celebrate its 50th anniversary on June 3, but had to shut it down instead.

The Australia Zoo was closed to the public for 78 days due to a health crisis, making it a disaster center for the zoo’s high cost of animal care.
“Our animal feed bills alone are about 80,000 per week and we spent our days protecting our team and the animal family,” Irwin shared. “Every moment of every day burns in the back of our brains, the question of when that will happen.”

However, at the same time, there were some positive results that happened in 2020.
Irwin, 22, married Powell on March 25. The pair tied the knot in a private and socially distant ceremony at the Australia Zoo.

“Now, we are patiently waiting for the arrival of our gorgeous daughter. She is the light of our lives,” Irwin wrote to her fans. “I hope this next year will bring some peace and we will find a way to come together as a society. Please remember to be kind to each other and enjoy even the smallest things.”
As of Sunday, Irwin is about 27 weeks pregnant.
The other half of her wakeboarding people shared the excitement about the goal of life in one of her own Instagram posts.

“2020 was full of highs and lows,” Powell wrote. “It’s so easy to focus on this year’s difficulties. I like to enjoy the highlights,” Powell wrote. “I married my best friend, and our daughter will join us in a few short months. The beginning of 2021 as husband and father is incredible and I am ready for whatever it is for the year.”
