Billie Eilish, Selena Gomez & More Set for iHeartMedia’s ‘Why I’m Voting’ Campaign: Exclusive


What is your reason for voting? On Monday (August 10th), iHeartMedia announced the official launch of its Voter Awareness Initiative in 2020, “Why I’m Voting,” exclusively on Billboard.

The non-partisan campaign will see artists from Billie Eilish and Selena Gomez to John Legend and Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds share the personal reasons that will drive voters to vote in the upcoming 2020 elections. Other celebrity faces participating in the campaign include Dan + Shay, Finneas, Saweetie, Michelle Williams, DJ Khaled, Diplo and dozens more.

In addition, iHeartMedia listeners will have the opportunity to record and submit their own 20-second audio or video message about why they are voting here. The campaign is set to run from now on through election day on November 3rd.

To support the initiative, iHeartMedia also premieres a brand new “Why I’m Voting” company podcast, featuring conversations with the likes of Pitbull, Melissa Etheridge and comedian Chelsea Handler about political issues close to their hearts and the personal stories of why on the way to the elections to bring their vote matters to them. The first four episodes (featuring Finneas, Jewel, Will Ferrell and cabaret artist Baratunde Thurston) are now available.
