Beyonce narrates the new trailer for ‘Black Is King’: ‘Lead or Be Be Outly’


A new Black is king the trailer has arrived! The trailer released on Sunday (July 19) and features Beyonce herself narrating it for her next visual album.

“You were shaped by the heat of the galaxy. What a thing to be, unique and familiar, to be one and the same, and yet unlike any other,” he says as a child floats in space before a bright flash. reveals the superstar carrying a baby.

The new trailer also features appearances by Jay-Z, Kelly Rowland, Lupita Nyong’o, Tina Knowles-Lawson, Pharrell Williams, and others.

The singer spoke about her project in an Instagram post on June 28. Calling it a “labor of love,” he shared that he had been filming, researching, and editing for the past year. Beyonce explained: “It was originally filmed as a companion piece to the ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ soundtrack and was intended to celebrate the breadth and beauty of black descent.

“The events of 2020 have made the vision and message of the film even more relevant as people from around the world embark on a historic journey,” he wrote at the time. “I believe that when blacks tell our own stories, we can change the axis of the world and tell our REAL story of generational wealth and soul wealth that is not told in our history books.”

“With this visual album, I wanted to present elements of black history and African tradition, with a modern twist and a universal message, and what it really means to find your own identity and build a legacy,” the 24-time Grammy winner. “My only goal is for you to see him with your family and make him proud.”
