When Suwannee (Georgia) cornerback North Gwinnett Jordan Hancock announced on Sunday that Clemson’s old engagement is now a Buckeye engagement, it was a big deal. Hancock is a great talent who can be a blocking cornerback for the Buckeyes.
And with Hancock, the Buckeyes now have another 2021 commitment by playing in one of two major postseason prep football games. Hancock had previously accepted an invitation to play in the All-American Bowl.
Ohio State 2021’s star-studded recruiting class now has 12 future Buckeyes planning to play in the All-American Bowl or the Under-Arm All-American Game, and a 13th to join them.
Including Hancock, nine Ohio State pledges have accepted an invitation to play in the All-American Bowl. They are quarterback Kyle McCordrunning backwards TreVeyon Hendersonrunning backwards Evan Pryor, the wide receiver Jayden Ballardoffensive lineman Donovan Jacksondefensive lineman Mike halllinebacker Reid Carrico and corner Jakailin Johnson and Hancock
Ohio state pledges that have accepted an invitation to play in the Under Armor All-American game they are wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.offensive lineman Ben christman and defensive end Tunmise Adeleye.
In addition, Ohio’s 5-star defensive commitment Jack sawyer He has been invited to play in both games, but he tells Bucknuts: “I’m still undecided about which one I’m playing.” So when Sawyer makes his decision, it will be 13 of the Buckeyes’ current 19 commitments to be played in one of the two games, an almost insane ratio of commitments to the number of players in one of the two games.
The 2021 All-American Bowl is scheduled for January 9 at 1:00 p.m. ET, to be televised nationwide on NBC. In addition to the nine Ohio State engagements that will play in the game, several Ohio State goals have also accepted an invitation to play in the game, including wide receiver. Emeka Egbuka, defensive lineman JT Tuimoloau and linebacker Raesjon Davis.
The 2021 Under Armor All-American Game is scheduled for January 7 at 6:00 p.m. ET at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, to be televised on ESPN.
The Buckeyes also have a commitment for 2022 that has accepted an invitation to play in one of the two games. Linebacker CJ Hicks worked at the Elite Underclassmen Showcase in Obetz, Ohio, just south of Columbus, on July 11 and received an invitation to play in the 2022 Under Armor All-American Game. Hicks quickly accepted the invitation.
