As noted, Renee Young took to Twitter last night and commented on the difficult week she faces: Her FS1 show, “WWE Backstage,” was canceled, and then fell on COVID-19.
Renee apparently took a COVID-19 test on her own last Monday. She learned of the positive test result on Tuesday, according to Dave Meltzer of Fight Observer Radio.
She previously took a test when she was first exposed to the virus last week, however, it took several days for symptoms to appear and a positive test result. Renee was observed to be quite ill to the point of losing her taste and sense of smell. Apparently she feels better now and the feeling is that the worst is over.
Renee’s husband, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, has also taken a COVID-19 test, which was negative. According to Meltzer, Moxley was suggested to go to a hotel room and quarantine, although Moxley decided not to. Mox believes that you may have already contracted the virus and that a positive test result is taking time to appear. He also doesn’t want to leave Renee when she’s sick and potentially expose others who haven’t been in contact with COVID-19.
Renee is one of multiple positive COVID-19 tests coming from WWE staff and talent this week. She has worked the last few episodes of SmackDown on FOX, recorded at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, where the other positive tests have been.
Man. What a few days. My program is canceled and I get Covid. Wear your masks and wash your hands. Stay safe, everyone ??
