Authorities shut down Florida’s first snow park for health and safety violations


Dead City, Fla – Less than a month after the opening, Pascoe County inspectors have closed its doors to Snooket Rage Alpine Snow Park after discovering fire, building, electrical and plumbing violations. The shutdown was announced on Facebook on Thursday afternoon by a theme park located in Dead City.

In an email sent Thursday evening, the Pascoe County government said Nov. 25 that it has become aware that Snooket Catge is operating in an unsafe structure without the necessary permission, inspection or business certification. Despite several permits being pulled for the project since July, only one permit has been closed to date. The park has not requested any inspections for other pending permits, ”government officials explained.

The photo, released by the Pesco County Observatory, shows open electrical b, x, unprinted plumbing and structural problems along the front entrance to the attraction, with shipping stacked.

Snocket Ridge officials said they have not been given any documentation or written explanation of the violation. “Further, Pesco County has failed to recognize our Florida amusement ride approvals and will not allow us to open Snowy Slide,” explains Facebook’s comment.

Snooket Rage said on social media that he has a legal team working to keep it open, but government officials said the park will remain closed until all life-safety violations are rectified.
