Following the successful start for Dominic Thiem and Dennis Novak in the double competition of the Generali Open Kitzbühel, Jürgen Melzer and his German partner Philipp Petzschner can follow suit.
The duo throws Marcus Daniell / Wesley Koolhof (NZL / NED) the three set mating in the first round out. Melzer / Petzschner win 7: 6 (4), 6: 4.
The reward for the meeting with Thiem / Novak is in the quarter-finals.
