There is a change in crown numbers in Vienna. There were 485 new corona cases and 12 deaths in 24 hours.
The Vienna State Medical Directorate and the Vienna City Medical Crisis Team confirmed 54,315 positive tests for the corona virus on Sunday. This means that the number of demonstrably infected people has increased by 485 in 24 hours. In addition, the number of deaths related to the virus is currently 537. Consequently, there have been 12 deaths since Saturday.
Five women and seven men dead
The deaths include five women (70, 75, 89, 92 and 93 years old) and seven men (73, 75, 76, 76, 83, 85 and 86 years old). A total of 38,119 people have been recovered. On Saturday 4,854 crown tests were carried out in Vienna, making a total of 775,080 tests. The 1450 Health Hotline received exactly 2,483 calls during this time.
The measures are taking effect
On Sunday, Austria’s federal capital reported 485 new registered cases, almost half fewer new infections than on Saturday. There were a total of 924 new corona infections in 24 hours. The second hard lockdown, which has been in place in Austria since Tuesday, is probably showing its effect.
