The National Council is likely to make the decision to persist next week. This probably also applies to three other objections from the FPÖ and the Social Democrats, which will continue on Monday night. The most prominent of these concerns is the Epidemic Law. This involves defining planned screening programs as part of the crown crisis. However, the change also defines the conditions under which events or demonstrations may occur in the future (for example, distance rules or mouth / nose protection obligation). Certain groups of people may also be excluded. In addition to the use of contact tracking technologies, no criteria can be based on crown risk groups, gender, ethnicity, age, religion, beliefs, and sexual orientation.
Objection to allocation to secure funds
Another appeal concerns a package that extends the deadlines for complying with the integration agreement and is expected to bring changes in administrative procedures. Among other things, this refers to restrictions on oral communication between the authority, the parties and other parties involved.
The fourth resource is an allocation of € 650 million to the guarantee fund established by the European Investment Bank in the Corona crisis. In addition, the finance minister must be empowered to assume federal responsibility in the form of guarantees of up to 720 million euros to support the short-term working instrument at the European level. Finally, it is planned to make deliveries and intra-community purchases of protective masks exempt from VAT.
Federal Council approves coupon model
The Federal Council, on the other hand, will overcome the coupon model for canceled sporting and cultural events. Here the SPÖ was still against in the National Council, but will agree in the regional chamber.
The Federal Council cannot avoid the laws anyway, but it can delay them. Because the National Council will promote affairs through a decision to persevere. For this purpose, a first special short homework session is scheduled for Friday, which will be followed by a full-time plenary session on Wednesday of next week. The laws being challenged today are being debated again and then probably finally decided against SPÖ and FPÖ
