Turin Juventus won the top game in Italian Serie A against league leaders AC Milan. Coach Andrea Pirlo’s team won 3-1 on Wednesday and with 30 points reduced the gap with Milan (37) to seven points.

Milan city rival Inter Milan had previously weakened and suffered a setback after their last eight wins in a row. The second in the table (36 points) suffered a surprising 1: 2 defeat at Sampdoria Genoa in the afternoon.

Federico Chiesa (18th, 62nd) with a double and Weston McKennie (76th) scored Juve’s goals against Milan. Davide Calabria (41st) had reunited to make up for the hosts in the meantime. Ante Rebic and Rade Krunic were unavailable for Milan after a coronavirus infection, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was absent due to injury.
