In a great comparison, flagship smartphones from Huawei, Samsung, OnePlus, and Apple compete against each other. Who offers more battery life?
All of the iconic smartphones from the first half of the year should now be available everywhere and of course the best candidates are happy to be compared. First of all, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with the Huawei P40 Pro, but also the OnePlus 8 Pro slowly joins. In a new comparison, those smartphones had to show which devices with everyday applications can offer the longest battery life.
There are various requirements. Samsung has the largest battery on the Ultra at 5000 mAh, while Apple, on the other hand, doesn’t even offer 4000 mAh on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. OnePlus 8 smartphones and Huawei P40 Pro are already closer together. Various processors are also used in the tested models. So who can do more when it comes to battery life?
Surprising winners and losers in the battery comparison

I am disappointed with OnePlus smartphones. After about half, the OnePlus 8 has just 34 percent battery life and the Pro only 46 percent, while all the competitors still have more than 50 or even 60 percent. When the first phone surrendered, the OnePlus 8 with a 4300 mAh battery after 6:20 hours, the OnePlus 8 Pro still had 9 percent battery remaining, the Huawei P40 Pro still 10 percent, and the Apple and Samsung every 30 percent.
Almost simultaneously, OnePlus and Huawei smartphones are empty after about 7 hours. And in the end, of course, the smartphones against each other had the biggest and smallest battery. As it should be in the end, the iPhone wins by a small margin. Again, a signal to the competition about how well hardware and software can be coordinated.
P.S: Such a comparison is, of course, only a rough measurement and does not have to be the same for each usage scenario. And if you already have a device you’re satisfied with, it’s still simple, even if it comes out of such a comparison as a loser.
