With a narrow 2-1 win at Admira, LASK remains close to the top duo in the league. However, the second hit of the third classified caused some discussion.
Offside Johannes Eggestein approached the ball after an assist from Thomas Goiginger, but shortly before letting Goiginger attack the ball. But shortly after the match, the assistant referee raised the flag. However, referee Josef Spurny released him and explained his decision in Darling-Interview.

“We would decide that again. But it would have been better if the assistant had not raised the flag ”, explains the referee. “He (Eggestein, note) does not play the ball and does not prevent anyone from playing the ball. So it doesn’t matter if you go there, ”continues Spurny.
After a premature decision by his assistant, the referee “did not want to make another mistake”, but can understand the subsequent emotion: “I understand the emotions after such a decision.”
