The incidence in Vorarlberg once again exceeds 200.
On today’s holidays, there were only a few new infections until noon. The 29 new infections are compared to 69 recoveries. This reduced the number of active corona cases in Vorarlberg from 40 to 1,256 people.

In Dornbirn in particular, the numbers have risen again in recent days. The fair town is about to have more than 200 corona cases again.
The situation in hospitals
At Christmas, 3 people with COVID-19 were admitted to hospitals.
A total of 62 COVID-19 patients are currently being cared for as inpatients.
There are 205 normal beds for COVID-19 patients, of which 155 are still available.
In addition, 200 regular beds have been prepared for COVID-19 patients at the Dornbirn emergency care center.
8 people could be discharged from the hospital.
A total of 59 beds are available for intensive medical treatment of patients. Currently, 12 COVID-19 patients are in need of intensive care. In addition, 19 non-Covid patients receive intensive care. Currently 28 intensive care beds are still available for all patient groups.
One person died Thursday in connection with the virus at the Vorarlberg hospitals.
58 employees tested positive for corona, 18 are also in quarantine.
Seven-day incidence
According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), Vorarlberg currently has the third highest value of all Austrian federal states behind Carinthia and Salzburg with the incidence of seven days per 100,000 inhabitants. With 205 new infections, the value in Vorarlberg has increased significantly, as it has generally increased in Austria.
The Austrian average for the seven-day incidence is 163.
As of today (December 25, 2020, 9:30 am), 5,783 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus and 318,154 have recovered. There are currently 2,454 people in hospital treatment due to the coronavirus and 409 of them are in intensive care units. So far there have been 349,055 positive results in Austria.
The Feldkirch district is ranked 15th in Austria with a value of 246 for seven-day incidents.
