In the future, travelers from Austria will have to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine in Ireland, as Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin said on Thursday, according to Reuters. Free trials are not possible. Until now, the stricter entry rules only applied to South Africa and Brazil. Austria, the United Arab Emirates, and sub-Saharan African countries were now on the list of countries where variants of the corona virus occur. According to the Foreign Ministry, Austrians previously had the option of leaving 14-day self-isolation with a negative PCR test result after five days.
