The number of new corona virus infections recorded in Austria was 520 in the last 24 hours on Tuesday, the Interior and Health Ministry reported. 340 newly identified infections were added in Vienna, which, according to the crisis team there, are due in part to earlier test results that have now been supplemented.
In the past two days, new infections reported from Vienna were comparatively low with 64 cases on Sunday and 75 on Monday, but overall they are increasing. In the past seven days, 159 people tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 per day; the week before, according to the Vienna crisis team, there was an average of 127.
