The Vienna State Office for the Protection of the Constitution and the Fight Against Terrorism (LVT) seized numerous Nazi materials in Vienna. In the course of an ongoing investigation, the LVT learned of a 46-year-old Hungarian citizen living in Vienna-Simmering, who was searched on Friday. Weapons and many other Nazi devotional items were found in the apartment.

The man acted cooperatively, pointing investigators to a box in the bedroom, where he said he kept his “collection” or “accessories.” In this, the agents found a hand grenade and two other stick grenades, several daggers and other equipment. The man claimed that the grenades were deactivated dummies. This was confirmed by an explosives authority, police said in a broadcast.

The man stated that he bought the items at flea markets or specialty stores to obtain replicas or found them himself using a metal detector. You would need some of these items as accessories for an additional role.

In addition, the officers obtained a replica of an MP 40 machine gun that included ammunition, which was in a wooden box with an imperial eagle and a swastika. A large number of Nazi devotional items were also found and secured in this box. The man was reported under the Prohibition Act and further investigations are ongoing.
