Starting at 11:30 a.m., the question will be answered at a press conference on whether the Viennese can go to the restrooms this summer and what restrictions and protective measures will apply due to the crown epidemic. We report via livestream.

In general, the preparation time for the commissioning of the summer swimming pools in Vienna would have started on April 1. However, due to the Corona epidemic, the start of the season had to be postponed indefinitely.

Vienna Mayor Michael Ludwig had already announced that he wanted to give public access to outdoor pools in the summer despite the corona virus, if necessary without having fun swimming. If swimming is not possible for safety reasons, at least the rest areas could be used as a relaxation area, says Ludwig.

As already announced by the Minister of Health, Rudolf Anschober (Greens), the swimming pools and leisure facilities will reopen from May 29. In this regard, concepts regarding regulations and requirements are currently being developed. Starting at 11:30 a.m., Ludwig, along with City Councilman Jürgen Czernohorszky and Head of the Municipal Baths Department Hubert Teubenbacher, will inform you of the additional hours for the City Baths. We report via livestream.
