A woman in Antalya, southern Turkey, gave birth to a child after being previously infected with the coronavirus and contracting Covid-19. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Hospital staff and doctors are happy with the new mother, who obviously became infected while shopping.

When Cigdem Akman was diagnosed with the coronavirus, she was almost nine months pregnant. Since the situation was very stressful, she tried to keep her mood high for the baby in her tummy and the young son at home. Health workers at Manavgat Hospital in Antalya have done everything possible to ensure that she and the baby are safe. It was dealt with by the Scientific Council of Turkey.

Mother and daughter are fine

After 10 days of treatment, Akman was able to defeat the virus in his body. During her later stages of pregnancy, she visited the same hospital for two weeks. She said she needed diapers and milk and said, “Anyone can get the virus. My husband is gone and my parents are very old. Still, I wish I hadn’t left my house.” She added that health workers treated her well and kept her morale high.

Akman regretted not wearing gloves or a mask when shopping. “If there is a mild symptom, you should go to the hospital immediately,” he added. The hospital’s chief physician, Mehmet Cinar, said: “She is pregnant, receiving Covid-19 and still giving birth in good health. This is a rare case worldwide. This is good news that has raised our morale.” Akman’s gynecologist said, “She responded quickly to treatment. There isn’t much data to suggest that a mother who tested positive for the coronavirus would transmit the virus to her baby before birth. Mother and daughter are in good health. I hope this be a ray of hope. ”
