In Scheibbs, a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of fraud and sent to St. Pölten prison.
The case was initiated by a 46-year-old man from the Melk district. He filed the complaint on Tuesday, three days after the sale of a car to the fraud suspect, because the purchase price of 34,000 euros had not been transferred. Officials with the Ybbs Danish Police Inspection Criminal Service Group made the car safe during their investigations and followed the victim’s vehicle.
During the course of the surveys, according to the police, other criminal offenses were assigned to the suspect. The 21-year-old is said to have bought a car for € 37,500 from a 25-year-old from the Amstetten district on Monday, showing a transfer confirmation that was not made. Because the defendant had faked his willingness to pay, they gave him a car until they picked him up. This car was seized when the suspect was arrested on Friday.
As early as March 26, the Mostviertler is said to have bought a car for € 12,000 from a car dealership in the Zwettl district via a fake transfer. In the end, he returned this car at the dealer’s request.
