After the death in the crown of a 41-year-old man with no previous illnesses at the Braunau hospital on April 22, the hospital denied any treatment errors on Sunday. “According to internal surveys conducted so far, medical misconduct in treating the deceased patient could not be identified,” it said in a press release.
The patient’s medical treatment would have been in accordance with the standard of medical science. The “Kronen Zeitung” quoted an anonymous email Saturday alleging that the hospital had begun treatment too late. According to this, the woman would have asked for help with fever in the hospital four days before admission. A crown test would have been positive.
Braunau Hospital does not reveal any details
An ambulance would have brought her home because she would have been very weak from the disease. Four days later, she was reportedly rescued and admitted to the hospital. The email also noted that the deceased had worked at the hospital as a cleaner. In this sense, the clinic made it clear that due to medical confidentiality, “no personal information is provided about the course of the patient’s illness, no information about identity or information about professional activity is provided, which may allow conclusions to be drawn on the identity of the patient. “

The deceased patient was autopsied by the Pathology Institute of the Wels-Grieskirchen Clinic in Braunau. According to the APA hospital spokesman, it was not yet possible to say when the report was available.
