Three major security vulnerabilities discovered: Google Chrome users should update immediately

Google Chrome users should immediately update to the next version of the browser. Google advises that serious security breaches be discovered. The risk of three of the eight gaps is classified as “critical”.

According to the Google Blog, versions of Chrome on Windows as well as on Linux and MacOS operating systems are at risk. Updates for the corresponding systems will be rolled out gradually in the coming days.

Version 81.0.4044.122 is the first without the security leak. Therefore, Google recommends that previous versions be updated as soon as possible. Start the update as follows:

  1. Click on the menu button in the upper right corner of the Chrome browser. It consists of three points arranged one below the other
  2. Now navigate to “Help” in the menu below and select “Via Google Chrome”
  3. If an update is available, it should now download and install automatically. The next time Google Chrome starts, the current version will load
