With the new investor, there is still no calm in Wiener Austria. Economically, they are still waiting for the first installment of the Insignia Group, so far there have only been letters of intent in the new partnership.
And there are still some unanswered questions in terms of personnel. At least one thing was clarified by the supervisory board on Thursday night: Gerhard Krisch was unanimously elected to AG’s executive board for the next three years. The former Bank Austria man was recently managing director of the Vienna Ice Skating Club and prior to that he was managing director of Vienna. It comes from the purple lender Bank Austria.
Future of Stöger and Kraetschmer
“He will begin his job on May 1, 2021. Gerhard Krisch has demonstrated his leadership qualities and experience in financial affairs in various roles both within and outside the world of sports,” President Frank Hensel is quoted in a broadcast.
AG’s CFO Markus Kraetschmer and coach Peter Stöger’s contracts expire in the summer and have yet to be extended. There were heated discussions in the supervisory board about Kraetschmer’s whereabouts without a definitive solution.
A few days ago it seemed like a goodbye, because he should not have accepted a reduction in his salary. He was offered another year in a different position; Kraetschmer wanted a three-year extension.
