With an incidence value of 387.2, Kirchdorf remains the negative leader in Upper Austria and is approaching that limit of 400, leading to a tightening of measures. In the event that a district is above this value for a week, exit is only possible with a negative test result.
The test bus starts in Wartberg and Nussbach
The country now wants to counter these restrictions with a test bus. It should target regions and communities with a particularly high 7-day incidence. The start is already tomorrow, Thursday, in Wartberg an der Krems, where, reportedly, both schools had to close on Monday due to a cluster and the nursery had to go into emergency operation. The test bus will stop in neighboring Nussbach on Friday. Exam times are from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:00 pm to 5:45 pm, no registration is required. “With this test bus it is possible that we will react even more quickly to the backlog of cases,” said Governor Thomas Stelzer and his deputy Christine Haberlander (both vice presidents). They call on the public to accept the “hassle-free trial offer”, especially those who are not mentioned in the contact tracing but are concerned that they may have been infected. The state determines the other test bus locations in conjunction with the affected communities.
Growing values in Braunau and Freistadt
The districts of Freistadt (333.5) and Braunau (331.6) are also struggling with increasing values in the 7-day incidence. There is also a slight upward trend in Wels-Land (309.0). All other districts are below a value of 300. Urfahr-Umgebung currently has the best value (101.2).
