Norbert Hofer in view of the “egg dance” surrounding a possible recall of the “Made in Austria” protective masks from “Hygiene Austria”, which are suspected of being counterfeit. As can be read in a report from the “Wiener Zeitung”, the Ministry of Economy wants to wait until the investigations against “Hygiene Austria” are concluded. Hofer: “That is out of the question! A risk to people’s health from possibly inferior masks that cannot be ruled out has nothing to do with investigations of fraud or illegal employment. The ÖVP Finance Minister must finally get going. “
As requested by the FPÖ immediately after the mask scandal was discovered, the government must carry out a large-scale test of the “Hygiene Austria” masks that are in circulation. “The sale stop of the Wiener Neudorf (and / or China) masks in their stores commissioned by the trading companies testifies to the sense of responsibility of the merchants who apparently do not want to take any risk when it comes to protecting the health of their customers . The federal government, which actually has to guarantee the protection of the population, is holding back and a product recall cannot take place. That is equivalent to refusing to work and showing irresponsible behavior ”. Norbert Hofer expects quick results from the quality control of the “Hygiene Austria” masks. Two weeks have already been wasted.
