LASK wins at SCR Altach thanks to an offside goal

In round 20 of the Typical Bundesliga, the duel between SCR Altach and LASK was scheduled on Saturday. The guests sat at the end with 0: 1 (0: 1). The winning goal, however, had a big stain.

But first things first: action on the field can be quickly summed up. The guests were visually overweight, but increased ball possession was not a successful offense. The same can be said for the hosts. The danger of the first goal came in the 23rd minute. After a corner from Goiginger, Balic put the ball into the side of the net from close range. A little later it became controversial. The winning goal in the 30th minute sparked heated discussions. After a long pass from Wiesinger, Balic started in a clearly recognizable offside position. The ÖFB team player knocked out Altach defender Dabanli. The Vorarlberg Subotic defensive boss maneuvered his cross into his own goal from close range. The host’s coach, Canadi, was furious about this situation and saw the yellow card. Just before the break, Vorarlberg should have tied. Nussbaumer initially let Trauner out, but failed due to LASK goalkeeper Schlager (43). Meilinger put the margin on the line. A few minutes earlier, the ÖFB goalkeeper was back in the spotlight. In the table, Upper Austria move up to four points over leader Red Bull Salzburg and one point over Rapid. The top duo will only be in action on Sunday. SCR Altach remains in eleventh and penultimate position.
