Different emotional states for the best golfers in Austria in the traditional “Arnold Palmer Invitational” of the PGA Tour. While Sepp Straka had to cancel the sails at halftime in Orlando, Florida, Bernd Wiesberger ended his dry streak and made the cut.
With a round of 71 on Friday, the Oberwart made the cut with a hit below par. Despite a bitter double bogey on hole six, teeing off the water, the 35-year-old achieves a decent round with four wins. A bogey on the 18th hole costs Austria’s number one an even better starting position for the weekend. On Thursday, Wiesberger had played a round even at par 72.
Straka completely ruined his second day and had to pack after a 78 and a total of seven over par.
The current leader is Canada’s Corey Conners at nine under par, with many players still in the round. The expected cut-off line is two strokes above the field standard.
