WSG Tirol missed away win against Admira – Bundesliga

[ad_1]

The Bundesliga match between Flyeralarm Admira and WSG Swarovski Tirol did not produce a winner today. The two teams were separated in an intense 1: 1 duel. In the end, the Tyrolese were unlucky, not hitting twice for fouls. Due to Hartberg’s simultaneous success against LASK, the WSG has to fear for entry into the championship group.

Admira takes the lead shortly before the break

Admira found the first chance of the game: Auer recovered Starkl, who got into a good shooting position, but Oswald was able to defuse his attempt from 13 meters (2nd). But the Tyrolese also played bravely and quickly: a long ball landed on Baden Frederiksen, who took the leather with a contact and tried it with a balloon. This happened just above the door (10th).

The first big opportunity of the match was found by Kristallkicker: Rieder crossed from the left to completely free Zan Rogelj, who came to close from a short distance. The Slovenian left the great opportunity and fired on her (18th).

On the other hand, a Kerschbaum coup in dire need (21º) could be prevented. In the 33rd minute, Baden Frederiksen attempted a long-range shot that jumped awkwardly in front of Leitner, but Admira’s keeper was able to avoid the goal with an unorthodox defense with his face.

Shortly before the halftime whistle, Lower Austria took the lead: Atanga played Starkl, who immediately dropped the ball. Kerschbaum took the ideal run and carefully hit the far corner: 1-0 (41). Soon after, Kerschbaum had a great opportunity to make it 2-0, but Oswald saved with a spectacular defense on foot.

WSG equalizes late and struggles with referees’ decisions

WSG coach Silberberger put Anselm and Buchacher on the line for Rieder and Schnegg for the second 45 minutes. With the lead behind her, Admira came out of the break in high gear and acted venomously. WSG Tirol lacked precision in the decisive pass in the front third. Leitner had to intervene for the first time after the break in the 53rd minute: the Admira goalkeeper blocked a shot from Rogelj.

The Tyrolese became more and more aggressive as the second half progressed and put Admira under pressure. In the 75th minute, Frederiksen resolutely refueled in the opponent’s penalty area, where he was stopped by Aiwu. WSG complained fiercely about penalties, but the contact occurred outside the penalty area.

In the 84th minute, the Tyrolese managed to equalize: substitute Smith took a high pass from Petsos perfectly and scored confidently in the short corner – 1: 1. Then the guests rallied twice more, but both shots were missed due to an alleged fault.
