On the fourth day of the ICE Hockey League Qualifying Round, the top duo suffered losses, while the pursuers win. The Dornbirn Bulldogs are defeated by the Graz99ers 1: 2 (0: 1.0: 0.1: 1), the Bratislava Capitals are left with the 1992 Black Wings with 0: 4 (0: 1.0: 1.0: 2) with no chance.
In an open match, Dornbirn’s team fails again and again due to the sovereign Graz goalkeeper Nussbacher or his own precision, while Menshikov reaches his first two goals in orange: on both occasions he unpacks a first from the side right and makes DEC Östlund goalkeeper look bad (12, 42).
Jevpalovs puts a backhand under the bar for an exciting final phase (50th), but the draw is no longer successful.
In Linz, Bratislava repeatedly fails due to the strong kickert, which is in Linzer Tor for the first time since January 29. The increased chances of the Black Wings secures the highest victory of the season, Hytönen (18th), Matzka (28th) and two Lebler (47th / PP, 56th / EN) score the goals.
Because VSV also took a 3-1 win at HC Innsbruck, it all comes together at the top. Collins (34th, 55th) and Pollastrone (59th / EN) lead the game alongside Adler late after Gerlach tied in the final third (47th).
Dornbirn and Bratislava each have 12 points, Graz and VSV each have 10 points, Linz follows with 9. Only HC Innsbruck is beaten with four points: the top 3 of the qualifying round get the playoff ticket.
